Biography

Dr. Soohyun Park is an Assistant Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice. She earned her B.A. and M.A. in Public Administration from Yonsei University and her Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from the University at Albany, State University of New York.

Dr. Park’s research focuses on public responsiveness, social equity, and organizational performance, with particular interest in when and how public service organizations can better address socioeconomic representation and promote equitable outcomes at the local level. Her work has been published in leading public administration journals, including Public Management Review and Public Performance & Management Review.

Her teaching interests include public responsiveness, bureaucratic discretion, performance management, and organizational theory and behavior.
